Terms and conditions

The agreement between Ebita Ai Private Limited and the people who use Goatted Guru. Last updated 8 October 2026.

These terms are the agreement between Ebita Ai Private Limited ("Ebita", "we", "us"), the company that owns and runs Goatted Guru, and the person who creates an account or buys a plan ("you"). They are written to be read, with the parts that matter most first. By creating an account, buying a plan or credits, or using Goatted Guru, you agree to them. If you create an account for a child, you agree to them for the child as well.

Try before you pay. Every course can be played for a short preview without an account, and has free modules once you sign up.
Paid in advance. Plans and credits are paid for through PayU. Prices are in Indian rupees. The price you see is the price you pay.
Cancel any time. A plan you cancel runs to the end of the period you paid for. See the refund policy.
Children join with a parent. A child uses Goatted Guru only with a parent’s or guardian’s consent.
Delivered online. Courses open in your account as soon as a payment is confirmed. Nothing is shipped.
Still being built. Goatted Guru is in its pilot. Expect some rough edges, and tell us what goes wrong.

What these terms cover

Goatted Guru is in its pilot

We are building and testing the service in the open. Features may change, may not yet be complete, may contain errors, and may be withdrawn.
Not everything we show is built yet. Our website and films describe where the product is going. Please do not buy a plan in reliance on a feature that is not yet available to you in the product.
You pay only for what exists when you pay. Every fee is for the courses and features available to you when it is charged. No payment is a pre-payment for anything still in development.
Tell us what goes wrong. Write to it@ebita.ai with what you saw. We may use what you report to improve the service.

Your account

One account per person. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
Tell us the truth. The name and details you give us must be accurate and kept up to date.
Children. A person under 18 uses Goatted Guru only with the consent of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for the child’s use of it and for any payment made for the child. A parent can see the child’s classes and results in their own view, and can withdraw consent at any time.
Tutors and schools. Tutors apply to teach and are approved by us before they can sign in. A school or tutor is responsible for the students it brings to the service and for having the right to do so.

Courses, previews and what is free

Every course we offer is listed at goatted.guru/courses, with what it covers.
A preview without an account. Anyone can play the start of any listed course for a short time. When the preview ends, you need an account to go on.
Free modules. With an account, the modules marked free can be studied without paying. By default that is the first module of every chapter.
Paid modules open when the chapter is opened with a credit, or while you hold a plan that includes every chapter.

Plans, credits, prices and billing

Credits. One credit opens one chapter for one student: every module in it, in every language we offer it in. A chapter you have opened stays open to you.
Plans. A monthly plan adds a number of credits to your account each time it is paid, or opens every chapter while the plan is active. What each plan includes, and its price, is shown before you pay.
Top-up credits are bought once and do not expire.
Prices are in Indian rupees. The amount you will be charged is shown before you confirm a payment.
Payment is in advance, through PayU, by the methods PayU offers (such as UPI, cards and net banking). Your card or bank details go to PayU and never reach our servers.
A plan starts when the payment is confirmed. Until then it gives you nothing.
Changing prices. We may change the price of a plan or of credits. A new price applies only to payments made after the change; it never changes what you have already paid for.
Live classes with a tutor may carry their own fee, shown before you join.

Delivery

Goatted Guru is a digital service. Nothing is shipped. Credits are added to your account, and a plan is switched on, as soon as PayU confirms the payment, which is normally within a few minutes. The courses are then available in your account at goatted.guru, on any device with a current web browser and an internet connection. If a payment was taken and your credits or plan have not appeared within one hour, write to finance@ebita.ai and we will put it right.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel a plan at any time from the Plans page of your account. It then runs until the end of the period you have paid for, and is not charged again.
Refunds are described in our refund and cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms.

Your content, and courses you make

What you make is yours. Courses you make with Create your own classes, the questions you ask and the recordings of your teach-backs belong to you. You give us permission to store, process and show them as needed to provide the service to you.
Sharing. If you choose to share a course with friends, or to contribute it to everyone, you give us permission to show it to them. A course contributed to everyone is reviewed by us first, and we may decline it or take it down.
You are responsible for what you bring. Do not upload or create material you have no right to use.

Education, not advice

Lessons are a help to learning, not a replacement for a school, and we do not promise any examination result.
Anything produced automatically must be checked. Courses made with our AI tools, transcripts, suggested answers and scores can be wrong. Tell us when you find a mistake in a lesson and we will correct it.

Live classes and recordings

A live class may be recorded only where the parent of each child in it has allowed recordings. Everyone in the class is shown that it is being recorded.
A tutor is responsible for how they conduct their class, and must follow our acceptable use policy.

The service, and changes to it

We work to keep Goatted Guru available and secure. We do not promise uninterrupted service or a specific uptime.
We improve the product continuously. If a change removes something you have paid for, we will tell you before it takes effect.

Intellectual property

The service, its software, design, lessons, animations and other content, and the Goatted Guru and Ebita names and marks, belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for learning and teaching while your account is in good standing. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

Suspension, and ending the agreement

You can stop using the service and ask us to close your account at any time.
We may suspend or close an account, without liability, if you seriously breach these terms or the acceptable use policy, if you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer without first raising it with us, or if continuing would put the service, other people or the law at risk. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a reasonable chance to put things right.
When an account is closed, we delete or anonymise its personal data as described in the privacy policy, except the records the law requires us to keep.

Warranties and disclaimers

We will provide the service with reasonable skill and care. If the service does not work as these terms describe, tell us: we will correct the error within a reasonable time. If we cannot, we will refund what you paid for the course or the part of the plan period that did not work. To the extent the law allows, that is your only remedy for a defect in the service. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, the service is provided as it is, without other warranties, express or implied, including of fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under law that cannot be excluded.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud.
Otherwise, our total liability to you for everything arising from the service in any twelve months is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in those twelve months.
We are not responsible for failures of services we do not control, such as the payment gateway, banks, your device or the internet.
Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we publish the new version here with a new date. If a change affects you materially and you do not agree, you may cancel before it takes effect.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts in Kerala, India, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

General

These terms, together with the policies named above and anything we agree in writing, are the whole agreement between us about the service.
You may not transfer this agreement without our written agreement; we may transfer it to a company that takes over the service, and will tell you if we do.
Neither of us is responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control.
If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues in force.
